Eric H. Nelson

Eric H. Nelson of Crawford & von Keller is an attorney in Columbia, South Carolina. Eric grew up in Madison, Alabama and attended undergrad at Auburn University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Eric then attended the University of Alabama School of Law where he participated in a moot court competition team, a competition trial advocacy team, a legal journal, a law school clinic program, and was President of the Christian Legal Society. Eric interned with the Hon. L Scott Coogler of the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and several plaintiff’s firms while in law school.

After graduating law school Eric was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2020. Eric worked primarily as debtor’s bankruptcy counsel before joining the team at Crawford & von Keller in January 2024.

Eric and his wife live in West Columbia and attend Midtown Fellowship Church. Eric is an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy novels, cheers on the Auburn Tigers, and is an amateur barbecue pitmaster.
