Our Attorneys
B. Lindsay Crawford, III was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 12, 1959. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1981 with a bachelor's degree, and later earned his law degree from South Carolina in 1985. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1986.
Ted von Keller grew up in Camden, South Carolina, and graduated from Camden High School in 1971. He attended the University of South Carolina from which he graduated in 1975 with a B.A. Degree in History. While an undergraduate, he was a member of the USC Soccer Club and was awarded an exchange scholarship by the Department of History to attend the University of Warwick in Coventry, United Kingdom. After undergraduate school he obtained his M.A.T. in History from the University of South Carolina graduate school.
Baxter Lindsay Crawford, IV (Lindsay) grew up in Columbia, South Carolina as the son of two local attorneys. After leaving the state to pursue his undergraduate education at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where he received his B.A. in History and Economics in 2011, Lindsay returned home to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law where he graduated in 2014. Lindsay was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2014 and is admitted to practice in the state of South Carolina and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. Lindsay was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2022.
Benjamin Barco is Crawford & von Keller’s North Carolina Managing Attorney. Ben was born in Eastern North Carolina in 1983 and grew up on the Outer Banks. He is a graduate of Currituck County High School in Barco, North Carolina, where he was an All-Conference member of the golf team. He attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science, minor in English, in 2005.
Jason M. Hunter of Crawford & von Keller is an attorney in Columbia, SC. As a member of our litigation team, he represents creditors in a variety of contested proceedings. Jason grew up near Columbia before moving to Charleston, SC, where he graduated summa cum laude from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. Thereafter, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Charleston School of Law. Mr. Hunter is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and currently resides in Columbia with his wife and son.
Eric H. Nelson of Crawford & von Keller is an attorney in Columbia, South Carolina. Eric grew up in Madison, Alabama and attended undergrad at Auburn University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Eric then attended the University of Alabama School of Law where he participated in a moot court competition team, a competition trial advocacy team, a legal journal, a law school clinic program, and was President of the Christian Legal Society. Eric interned with the Hon. L Scott Coogler of the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and several plaintiff’s firms while in law school.
Alise was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies, with a concentration in pre-law, and a double minor in chemistry and philosophy. After graduating magna cum laude in 2021, she attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, graduating with honors in 2024.
Cindy was born in Greenville, South Carolina and raised in the Harrisburg/Charlotte, North Carolina area. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 1993. After graduating, she attended North Carolina Central University School of Law and graduated in 1996.
Roman A. Dodd is an attorney in our Columbia, South Carolina office. Roman’s practice is focused on estate planning, probate administration, businesses, and non-profits. Roman prides himself on tailoring creative solutions to meet the unique needs of each client while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Alston was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina and graduated from the College of Charleston in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in History, and minored in Political Science. After graduating, he attended Charleston School of Law, graduating in 2019. He is licensed to practice law in both North and South Carolina.
Ian C. Roberts is an attorney in the Columbia, South Carolina office of Crawford & von Keller, LLC. Ian’s practice focuses on collections, landlord-tenant matters, foreclosure, and related litigation. In addition, he maintains an active entertainment law practice, representing artists, songwriters, and creative professionals in a variety of transactional and business matters.
Lyric earned her B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in Legal Studies, from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. After earning her B.A., Lyric enrolled in law school at Campbell University in Raleigh, North Carolina and earned her J.D. in 2024.
Michael G. Clifford (Mike) is Crawford & von Keller’s Managing Attorney in Tennessee. Mike is originally from Miami, Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.S. Business, 2003), and the Florida International University College of Law (J.D., 2009).
